Dylan Passa whose love of fishing inspired the Donkey Slayer Youth Outdoors Program

The Story Behind the Donkey Slayer

We began this fundraiser in memory of Dylan Passa who passed away from COVID on September 22, 2021, at just 17 years old.

Dylan had a true passion for fishing and spent every free moment on the water at his favorite spots.

After a successful night of fishing walleyes with his Uncle Tony on the Fox River in Green Bay, he proudly gave himself the nickname "Donkey Slayer" — a name that now carries on in his honor.

Dylan loved teaching and helping people learn to fish. This fundraiser exists to carry that spirit forward by bringing people together, supporting meaningful causes, and helping more young people experience the outdoors the way he loved it.

Today, Dylan's legacy lives on through the Donkey Slayer Fundraiser and the Donkey Slayer Youth Outdoors Program, helping introduce more youth to the outdoors through fishing and community support.

Dylan loved teaching people to fish. Today, his legacy lives on by helping the next generation enjoy the outdoors.
