Why We Host Our Annual Fishing Contest

The Donkey Slayer Fishing Contest was created to honor the memory of Dylan Passa and continue the values he cared about most—fishing, family, friendship, and helping others. What began as a way to remember Dylan has grown into a community tradition that brings people together while making a positive impact on the lives of young outdoor enthusiasts.

Funds raised through our annual event support the Donkey Slayer Youth Outdoors Program, which provides quality fishing gear and outdoor opportunities to youth in our communities. By helping young anglers experience the outdoors, learn new skills, and create lasting memories with family and friends, we are carrying Dylan's passion forward and ensuring that future generations have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors the way he did.
